Denisov, who had studied in the Warsaw music Institute as a musician who served in the Lithuanian regiment of the Russian army, he began his studies in painting at the age of thirty-three years in Moscow. His mentors became K. A. Korovin and V. A. Serov. Many of the works of Denisov associated with the theater: he did the symbolist sets for several theatres of St. Petersburg. In addition, created a mural in the Church of Ivanovo - Voznesensk.
