
David Paul Chun was an American illustrator, etcher, painter. Born in Honolulu, HI on Feb. 17, 1898. Chun studied art in China during 1915-20. In the late 1920s he settled in San Francisco into a studio on Grant Avenue and enrolled at the CSFA. During the Depression he did lithography for the Federal Art Project and was active in the local art scene through 1946. For 45 years he worked in San Francisco as a printer. He died there on Oct. 24, 1989.
