
Isaac Cohen was an Australian Portrait painter, born in Ballarat, Victoria. He Studied in Melbourne at National Gallery of Victoria, in 1905 winning a travelling scholarship that took him to further studies in Paris. Exhibited RP, RA, ROI and Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, extensively and in Paris at the Salon, where he won gold and silver medals. Williamson Art Gallery and Museum, Birkenhead, and galleries in South Africa and Victoria hold his work. Lived latterly in London.
