About the Artist

Fernand Siméon was a French painter, engraver and illustrator.

A student of the School of Decorative Arts, he practiced painting and etching. It was Auguste Lepère who introduced him to wood engraving. He provided a model of Aubusson tapestry woven in 1923.

He collaborated on the Imagier (1914-1925) of the Society of Original Wood Engraving.
