Nicola Antonio Facchinetti was an Italian-Brazilian painter, draftsman and teacher. He moved to Brazil in 1849, settling in Rio de Janeiro, where he worked as a scenographer and drawing teacher. He participated in several editions of the General Exhibition of Fine Arts. He painted several panoramas of the city of Rio de Janeiro, contrasting the new houses with the exuberant nature of the surroundings.
