William Henry Wallace

American, 1838-1929

William Henry Wallace was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was a writer, landscape painter and etcher, who made hundreds of topographical drawings in watercolor from the 1850s-80s, and etched about 80 plates from his drawings. He was a life member of the Brooklyn Arts and Sciences, represented in museums, including the New York Historical Society which has eighty-nine of his works.
