Follow

Karl Suschnik was an Austrian painter.
After graduating from the teacher training institute he became an elementary school teacher. He joined the military in 1915 and started drawing while in Russian captivity. In addition to portraits of his family and friends, Suschnik mainly created landscapes from his adopted home in Carinthia. Students in his class served as models for his large-format boys' portraits.
