Alexander Davis Cooper

London painter of landscapes, portrait and genre scenes from Shakespeare, line engraver, and illustrator; son of Abraham Cooper, worked in Manchester and London. Exhibited paintings at the RA from 1837 to 1888 and at the BI and SS, many of which were engraved by Charles Knight.
