Rudolf Bernt was an Austrian architect, building supervisor and painter.

Born in Lower Austria , Bernt studied at the Technical University and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Carl Roesner and Eduard van der Nüll. From 1870 he worked in Otto Wagner 's studio. In 1884 he became a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus. After his death he received an honorary grave in the Vienna Central Cemetery, (group 0).

Bernt was involved in numerous works by Otto Wagner. He developed into a recognized draftsman and ornamentist. From the 1890s he worked mainly as a watercolourist. His motifs were preferably vedute and architectural images. His most famous work as an architect is the Georg Coch monument on Georg Coch Square in Vienna.
