
Glenn Stuart Pearce studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) and with Arthur B. Carles. He was a WPA artist in the 1930s and painted many scenes of industrial and urban Philadelphia. He lived in West Philadelphia and later in Elkins Park and rarely sold his work. Two of his paintings are in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
