Ferdinand Lepie was born in 1824 in Prague. Lepie was a painter who studied at the Prague Academy from 1841-1844. He went to Vienna in the early 1860s, where he gave drawing lessons at the imperial court. Lepié liked to paint landscapes and vedutas of Prague and Vienna, Lower Austria and other Austrian regions such as the Salzkammergut.
