
Shimizu Seifu was a leading Meiji-era collector of omocho (toys), Ningyo (Dolls), as well as artist, calligrapher, and head of a wealthy trading company who studied painting with Hiroshige III, holding in trust important Ando Hiroshige artifacts, including his seals.
