Alpo Siimes Tuura was a Finnish-American painter.
Alpo Tuura's parents were Juho Tuura and Emilia née Punkari. He attended a co-educational school in Riihimäki until 1916, when he moved to the United States to continue his studies. He graduated from high school in Harbor and then studied for four years at the Cleveland School of Art. He had held his first solo exhibition and was preparing a second when he died in a car accident in early June 1928. After Tuura's death, his friend, the artist Max Albin Bachofen (1903-1987), organised a memorial exhibition of works found in Tuura's estate.
