Karl Stuhlmüller was a German landscape and animal painter .

Born as the son of a master carpenter and initially destined to be a carpenter, Karl Stuhlmüller joined a traveling theater troupe and studied from April 5, 1875 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Carl Theodor von Piloty .

After completing his studies, Karl Stuhlmüller worked as a freelance landscape and animal painter in Munich, Dachau and Etzenhausen, and became a member of the Munich artists' cooperative.
