Carl Geyling

Franz Carl Michael Geyling was an Austrian glass and landscape painter. He was the founder of the well-known glass painting company Carl Geyling's Erben.

Carl Geyling was the son of the court decoration painter Andreas Geyling and his second wife Barbara Laimer. His older brother was the painter Josef Geyling. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and initially worked as a landscape painter. In 1839 he traveled to Italy.

After his return, Geyling was commissioned to replace the panes of older glass doors in Laxenburg Castle.

Carl Geyling was buried in the Ober Sankt Veiter cemetery.
