Johann Christoph von Bemmel was a German landscape painter .

Johann Christoph, the second son of Peter von Bemmel, apprenticed with his father, settled in Bamberg, converted to the Catholic faith there and married Susanna Maria Köhler. In this marriage Karl Sebastian was born in 1743 and Simon Joseph in 1747. The painter had a son, Johann Caspar, with his second wife, Catharina Maria Brückner.

In Füssli's Allgemeines Künstlerlexicon , Meusel certifies that Johann Christoph von Bemmel had a "quick and light brush" .
