Joseph-François Foulquier was an amateur painter, etcher and art collector who was trained in Paris by Philipp Jakob Loutherbourg and the Swedish miniaturist Hall. Foulquier produced a modest printed oeuvre including several etchings after preliminary drawings by Loutherbourg.
