Painter, born in the Netherlands, educated at Delft University, who settled in England in 1896 and took British nationality. Interiors in Shelley House and Lansdowne House were important works. He was elected RI in 1915, also showing at RA, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and Goupil Gallery. Was a member of Arts Club and lived in London.
