Aurel Ballo was a Slovak painter. He was half-brother of the painter Eduard Ballo.
After attending high schools in Spišská Nová Ves and Lučenec , he studied painting in Budapest and briefly in Munich. In 1895 he settled in Prešov as a professor of drawing, he had among his pupils Edita Spannerová. He was interested in the works of the old masters and made copies of them. He devoted himself mainly to figurative painting.
