Luce Boyals was born on December 14, 1892 in Rabastens sur Tarn, from a long-established family and several times linked to the history of the city. Her grandfather Doctor Jean Berenguier and his father Doctor Achille Boyals had built up over the years an exceptional collection of works of art, furniture, paintings and engravings, ceramics, etc., forming “a kind of provincial museum” which was detailed in 1911 and 1917 by the Revue du Tarn.
