

Portraitist and history painter, probably trained by his uncle Chr. Schiebling in Dresden.
In 1682 he settled in Leipzig, where he decorated the newly built Handelsborse and executed a series of portrait miniatures (in oil on parchment) of 17 merchants from the city.
