Teodor Baltazar Stachowicz was a Polish painter. He was the son of the painter Michał Stachowicz, the grandson of Stanisław Stachowicz, a Krakow printer and bookseller. Initially, he studied painting under the supervision of his father, in 1820 he started studies at the Krakow School of Fine Arts, he graduated in 1825, thanks to Sebastian Sierakowski's testamentary record, who left the sum of 1,000 zlotys for his education in 1824.

He was married twice, in 1827 he married Antonina Winarska, and in 1829 he remarried with Amelia Waniek with whom he had a son, Wilhelm Józef (1830-1895), a court clerk in Rzeszów. He died in Kraków and was buried in the family tomb at the Rakowicki Cemetery .
