Joseph Félon was born in 1818 in Bordeaux.
Joseph Felon was a versatile artist, sculptor, glass artist, ceramicist and lithographer.
After studying in Bordeaux for Pierre Lacour dy and Gaspard de Galard. he was admitted to the Ecole des Beax-Arts in Paris in 1839.
The artist passed away in 1896.
