Aleksander Świeszewski was a Polish landscape painter.
He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw under Christian Breslauer, continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Fritz Bamberger. After the January Uprising, he settled permanently in Germany, never severed contacts with his homeland, exhibiting at Zachęta and the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Krakow.
Aleksander Świeszewski's niece was the painter Laura Siemieńska. The great-grandson of the artist is Maciej Świeszewski, a painter and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk.
