George Frederick Scotson-Clark was a British Poster designer and illustrator and the son of Reverend Frederick Scotson Clark (1840-1883) a noted organ musician and composer. Grew up in Brighton, England where he was a classmate of Aubrey Beardsley. Worked in the U.S. from 1891-1897 as stage and costume designer, designer of theatrical posters. Art editor of Century Magazine in the 1890's, also designed theater posters for New York newspapers, book posters for Dodd, Mead. posters for The OUting, 1896-1897. Returned to England in 1897 where he contined to produce theatrical posters.
