Viktor Schufinsky was an Austrian painter and graphic artist.

Viktor Schufinsky was born in Vienna's 2nd district, Leopoldstadt, at Weintraubengasse 1. His father was from Vienna and his mother from Moravia. He studied at the Vienna School of Applied Arts and was an assistant at the Graphische Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt (Graphic Teaching and Research Institute) from 1903. He also taught at the k.k. Technical College for the Ton Industry in Znaim and, from 1918, at the School of Applied Arts in Vienna.

During the First World War, Schufinsky fought on the Russian front but was assigned to the propaganda group in the Imperial and Royal War Press Headquarters in December of the same year. war press headquarters. In 1916, he was appointed lieutenant in the Landsturm, and in 1917 he worked for the 5th Army Command on the Isonzo front. His works include poster designs, war picture sheets, and commissions for the Red Cross.

On the night of October 7-8, 1947, Schufinsky's body was found in the Danube Canal. A contemporary press report assumed suicide due to serious illness.
