
Painter, Frank Desch was born in 1873 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he lived in Provincetown, Massachusetts and later in New York City. He studied under William Merritt Chase and Charles Hawthorne; and Biloul in Paris. Desch was a member of the Allied Artists of America, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art; Salmagundi Club; and Provincetown Art Association. He exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art; Salmagundi Club; and the Corcoran Gallery.
