Franz Xaver von Riedmüller, also known as Franz Xaver Edler von Riedmüller was a German landscape painter.
Franz Xaver von Riedmüller was a son of the registrar Franz Xaver Riedmüller. He came to painting late and, like Carl Friedrich Deiker, was trained by Johann Wilhelm Schirmer (1807-1863) at the Academy in Karlsruhe. After that, he lived in Strasbourg and Frankfurt am Main, and from 1864 in Stuttgart. He received awards in the form of medals in Karlsruhe and London and in 1873 became court painter to the Grand Duke of Baden, Friedrich I of Baden.
