
Jules Auguste Habert-Dys was a French painter, master glassmaker, engraver, and teacher.
Jules Auguste Habert-Dys was born on September 23, 1850, in Fresnes (Loir-et-Cher).
His teachers were Jean-Léon Gérôme, Félix Bracquemond, and Léon Gaucherel. He exhibited etchings at the Salon des Artistes Français for the first time in 1882; his Paris address was listed as 119 rue Monge. In 1891, he exhibited a painting entitled Cigognes (Storks). In 1903, he exhibited watercolors and decorative art objects made from precious materials. His last exhibition at this salon was in 1905; his address was then 24 rue des Volontaires.
He was a professor at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs until 1927.
He died in Paris's 14th arrondissement on March 8, 1930.
