Joseph Callender worked from circa 1771 to 1821 as an engraver in Boston MA
Originally as a journeyman in the shop of Paul Revere. Listed in the 1800 city directory as an engraver at 14 Federal Street. At least twenty-two bookplates by his hand are recorded.
