Anton Reckziegel was a Austrian landscape painter and studied at the Academy of Graz. He went on to work in Vienna as a cartographer for two years and from 1982 in Switzerland for a billboard company, and then a print shop in Bern.

For ten years Reckziegel's work dominated Swiss Tourism Posters, until he moved back to Austria in 1912 to continue his passion of landscape painting.
