Albert Schlopsnies was the husband of Franziska Schlopsnies, née Spangenthal (1884-1944). He studied at the Munich art academy under Gabriel von Hackl. He was a freelancer for the Steiff company where he designed catalogs, numerous dolls and soft toys.
