

Franciszek Siedlecki was a Polish painter and graphic artist representing the trend of symbolism and secession.
He graduated in law from the Jagiellonian University. In 1893 he decided to study art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. From 1894 he continued his artistic studies at the Académie Colarossi in Paris. He collaborated as an illustrator with the elite magazine "Chimera ". In 1910 he took over the graphic design of the "Sfinks" monthly, and in 1911 he became the artistic director of the "Sztuka" magazine.
