Eugeniusz Ludwik Dąbrowa-Dąbrowski

Ludwik Eugeniusz Dąbrowa-Dąbrowski was a Polish architect, decorator, graphic artist. Great-grandson of Wojciech Bogusławski.

He studied in Paris , Vienna and Munich.

In 1900, he moved to Krakow, where he was involved in painting and applied graphics. He created posters, book covers and designed book layouts.

When decorating his books, he used motifs from Polish folk cut-outs, stylized plants and birds.

His famous works include posters: 1st Independent Exhibition, Academic Ball.

In 1906, he designed the layout and ornamentation of the Jubilee Calendar of the Union Printing House in Krakow .

He made illustrations for books by Maria Turzą (The Voice of Women in a Woman's Question, Krakow 1903 and Liberating Woman, Krakow 1906), Henryk Dumolard (Japan in political, economic and social terms , Lviv 1904), Adolf Dygasiński (German edition of Godów życia , Munich 1909).

At a printing exhibition in 1904, he was awarded a bronze medal - he was also the author of the layout and decoration of the exhibition catalog.

He collaborated with Krakow's printing houses: the National Printing House, the Union Printing House and Anczyca.

After World War I, he lived and exhibited in France (including the Paris Salons ). In 1939 he settled in Poznań .
