Ferdinand Fredrik Christoph Tilgmann was a German graphic artist working in Finland.
Tilgmann arrived in Norrköping in 1857, where he soon founded a letterpress printing company. In 1862, he became director of the Polen & C:o letterpress printing company in Helsinki, where he established his own company, Oy Tilgmann Ab, in 1869. As early as 1864, he was commissioned to design and print Finnish government premium bonds and postage stamps, the first of their kind in Finland. In 1886, he founded the Bank of Finland's banknote printing works on behalf of the state and became its director.
Tilgmann also emerged as a poet and composer under the pseudonym F. Christoph; among other works, he published a German translation of The Tales of Ensign Stål.
