François Victor Eloi Biennourry is a French painter
Son of Etienne Pierre Victor Biennourry and Marguerite Clémence Pellet, François Victor Eloi Biennourry is a pupil of Michel Martin Drolling .
Painter of history, he received many public commissions under the Second Empire, for the Tuileries Palace in Paris (the Empress' salons, the Emperor's office), for the Louvre Palace and for many Parisian churches. At the same time, he produced official portraits, including that of Charlemagne de Maupas, Minister of General Police, a compatriot from Champagne.
He died at his home in Paris at 19, quai Saint-Michel in the 5th arrondissement of Paris and is buried in the same city at the Montparnasse cemetery (17th Division).
