William Edward Webb

English, 1862–1903

Marine and landscape painter who was born in Manchester in 1862. He exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery at Liverpool between 1892 and 1902 and at the Royal Academy, London between 1900 and 1902. Most of his work was exhibited at Manchester City Art Gallery. He often painted scenes in the Isle of Man and his work is highly sought after and is represented in many private and public collections. He exhibited 'Old Whitby' at the Royal Academy in 1900.
