Frans Wilhelm (Wilho) Sjöströmwas a Finnish painter and professor. During his lifetime, he was one of Finland's best-known painters.
Sjöström studied at the Finnish Art Association's drawing school in 1891–1893 and was a student of the artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela in Sääksmäki. He also studied at the Académie Julian in Paris, the Statens Studieskolor in Copenhagen and the Scuola du Nudo in Florence, and also studied in Rome and London. Sjöström's work was first exhibited in Paris in 1897 and the following year in Helsinki.
Wilho Sjöström's first spouse in 1903–1918 was the painter Tyra Malmström (1875–1928) and his second spouse in 1918 was the dentist Vieno Kalima (1883–1975).
