Pieter Lodewijk Franciso Kluyver was a Dutch romantic painter. Born in Amsterdam in 1816, as early as 1838 he exhibited at the Living Masters exhibition with finely executed and subdued, panoramic summer landscapes. Kluyver also painted winter scenes, landscapes with cattle and woodland views. His summer landscapes were especially popular for their sunlight effects.
