Born in 1844 in Rouen, France, Paul Albert Baudouin was a pupil of Gleyre, Elie Delaunay in Puvis de Chavannes. He was a painter of genre, landscapes, decorative panels and loved painting outdoors.
Baudouin was an artist of outstanding talent and achieved much recognition from 1868 when he worked within the Salon des Artistes Francais. He reached medal award status at third class level in 1882 for his portrait of an Honneur Legion Knight in 1891.
He showed his passion for painting outdoor scenes of people and landscapes when he decorated the panels on his studio al fresco. He loved music and would often paint to the rhythm. Paul Albert Baudouin died on 23rd December 1931
