Nikolai von Astudin (Nikolai Lvovich Astudin) was a Russian landscape painter.
Astudin was the son of an officer and completed his education in Saint Petersburg. He then became a student of the landscape painter Armand-Théophile Cassagne (1823-1907) in Paris. Study trips took him to Finland, the Alpine countries and Italy.
Already in 1876 and 1877 Astudin had exhibitions in Berlin, 1885 and in Zurich. Astudin lived in Kassel for a long time. In 1896 he married the painter Johanna Meineke from Braubach am Rhein. In 1904/1905 Astudin lived in Bonn.
In 1912 he moved to Oberlahnstein, Germany where he lived until his death.
