Ludwig Rubelli von Sturmfest was an Austrian marine painter of Italian descent.
Rubelli joined the Austrian Navy in 1861 as the son of a Colonel Auditor, but he was released two years later under unknown circumstances. His further career is unknown, but it is known that in the 1880s he became known as a marine painter. Rubelli exhibited his paintings, some of which came into imperial possession, at exhibitions he organized himself in the hotels of Trieste, Fiume and Budapest. He lived with his family in Gorizia.
