Leopold Ernst (Austrian, 1808-1862)
Leopold Ernst was an Austrian architect.
Leopold Ernst was a student of Peter von Nobiles. From 1853 he was the master builder of St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. He redesigned the Palais Niederösterreich in the Herrengasse in Vienna and the Grafenegg Castle and created the plans for the tower extension of the parish church Großweikersdorf. Leopold Ernst died in Vienna in 1862.
