Leopold Bucher was an Austrian portrait and history painter.
Leopold Bucher was born in Schwechat as the son of Andreas Bucher and Franziska Knirsch. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and from 1817 at the Raffaelis Mosaic School in Milan. He took part in the Vienna Academy exhibitions in 1834, 1835, 1838 and 1850.
Bucher died unmarried in his apartment in Vienna of old age and was buried in the central cemetery.
