Karl Vikas was an Austrian landscape painter.
Karl Vikas was a student of the landscape painter Hugo Darnaut in his painting school in Plankenberg Castle in the Vienna Woods because he could not afford an academic education. As a successful landscape painter, he lived in Mautern in the Wachau, where he lived until his death.
His works were influenced by Emil Jakob Schindler. Vikas was one of the founders of the Wachau Artists' Association in 1919 .
