Józef Marszewski was a Polish painter.
He studied painting with Wincenty Dmochowski in Vilnius or Aleksander Kokular in Warsaw (or alternately with both). Later, he studied at the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg with Matwiej Vorobyov (1853 - 1856), he continued his studies in Paris and Düsseldorf with Andreas Achenbach.
He traveled around Europe and lived in Italy for several years. From abroad, he sent paintings for exhibitions in Krakow, Lviv and Warsaw.
