Josep Mirabent Gatell was a Spanish artist from Barcelona who studied at the La Lonja School and was influenced by the Nazarene aesthetic. He painted portraits and still lifes with flowers and fruit in his early years, but later specialized in interior decoration. His works can be seen in the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the University of Barcelona, the Balaguer Museum, and various churches in Madrid. He won several prizes and awards for his artwork, including a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in Barcelona in 1888. He is widely represented in various museums and galleries in Spain.
