James Thomas Watts studied at Birmingham School of Art. He lived for many years in Liverpool.
He was a most prolific painter with numerous examples shown at the Dudley Gallery London, the Walker Gallery Liverpool, the Royal Academy, the Royal Cambrian Academy, and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours.
