Heinrich Eduard Heyn (also Heyn Senior or Heyn the Elder) was a German landscape painter born in 1898 in Sophienau/Sachsen-Meiningen. He is the older brother of the painter August Heyn (1837-1920). Heinrich studied with his brother from 1853 at the Munich Academy and later worked in Memmingen. In 1872, he resumed his study at the Munich Academy and later worked in Dusseldorf where he presumably died around 1898.Internet and matrikel the Munich Academy.
