Hanno Rhomberg was a German genre painter. He was the son of Professor Joseph Anton Rhomberg.

After attending Latin school and grammar school and his first painting lessons with his father, Hanno Rhomberg studied from April 1, 1834 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich under Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld and in the painting school of Joseph Bernhardt.

Under the influence of Karl von Enhuber, he devoted himself to genre painting. He was also influenced by his friends, the painters Ferdinand Wagner and Feodor Dietz.

His works appeared as woodcuts or lithographs in illustrated magazines, e.g. Illustrierte Welt and Über Land und Meer.

Many of his works were sold to the United States by the Wimmer Gallery in Munich. He died at the age of 45.
